Dr. Frank Poppolo was a fantastic dentist. He was super thorough, checked many details, explained carefully different options. Didn't encourage treatments that weren't necessary. Made sure my crown went in carefully and wouldn't fall off while traveling. He really went above and beyond to make sure... I have been a client here for almost two years, and working with Dr. Frank Poppolo Deus for about 1.5 years.He is a fantastic professional. Key things to call out - deep commitment to client education, quick mind, collaborative approach in problem solving/communication (here is the problem, here... is why it’s happening, here are some quick things you can do habitually to improve, here are things you should focus on first etc. while taking into account things like insurance coverage, ability to pay, new habit formation etc.).Interactions felt very patient focused, with patient’s realities/context taken as much as possible into consideration. Everyone was very kind from the front office to the actual exam and procedure room.Dr. Steven Zhao and his dental assistant were excellent. Dr. Zhao took his time to thoroughly explain both the procedure and aftercare instructions to me. I can't recommend Dr. Wes and Lola enough! They were absolute professionals throughout my visit. I was so comfortable during my fillings that I nearly fell asleep. Later that same week, I had two wisdom teeth removed, and any anxiety I had about the procedure vanished thanks to their reassuring and... gentle approach. Not only was the experience painless, but my recovery was incredibly fast—my wisdom teeth healed much quicker than I expected. I love this dental office, and Dr. Wes is really great! As a patient who identifies as being on the spectrum dealing with a lot of unpleasant sensory issues whenever I’m at any dentist appointment, I really appreciated Dr. Wes’s kind, patient and supportive approach to dental care. His... understanding was much appreciated, and actually made going to the dentist not so bad lol, so I definitely recommend him!The only caveat I would add is that if you’re expecting to pay for your dental procedures via insurance coverage, always ask them to submit an estimate to your insurance first, to ensure that the procedure is actually covered before proceeding so you won’t be suddenly/unexpectedly paying out of pocket—but honestly I would recommend that for any dental office anywhere. The team at City Dental is amazing, but I want to highlight two people in particular - Rana and Dr. Frank.Rana has always been incredibly kind, genuine, and positive every time I’ve seen her. She checks in to make sure you’re comfortable, and she is such a calming presence. I typically hate... cleanings, but she’s so warm and welcoming that I end up enjoying going to the dentist (as much as someone can, anyway). Very professional and thorough staff and doctors, I'd highly recommend.Edit - Been visiting City Dental for a few months now to get a lot of extensive work done with Dr. Frank. I've never had a... better experience with a dentist, he's saved some teeth that were considered a lost cause and then some. The staff are super friendly and everyone here has your best interest at heart.Edit after about 6 months of work - quality hasn't changed, top notch service and fantastic doctors. 11/10 would recommend. I went to see Dr Frank to get a lot of much needed work done on my teeth from root canals to a bunch of crowns. Dr Frank is super friendly and makes the whole process very smooth and fear free, he walks you through everything he’s doing and I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever. He’ll even crack a few... jokes here and there to lighten the mood. He definitely made my visits far more enjoyable and I would highly recommend him for any work you need done. Every single staff member is unimaginably polite and friendly. They also provide the utmost quality of care and professionalism.Specifically, the dental hygienist I had today was extra wonderful. She hummed and sang along under her breath to the songs on the radio I think without even realizing.... She had a beautiful voice and it helped sooth me as I usually have to meditate throughout much of my dental apt to remain calm.
