Dental Bridges

Our Services

A Dental Bridge, used to replace one or more missing teeth, is a fixed restoration created by the support of the adjacent teeth. The false teeth are generally made of alloys, porcelain or a combination of the two. Bridges help restore your smile and corrects the ability to bite or talk properly.

What is the Process?

The procedure of getting a dental bridge usually takes 2 visits. In the first visit, the adjacent teeth of the gap are prepared to fit the bridge. A mold of the teeth is made and a temporary bridge may be put in place to protect the exposed teeth. In the second visit, the temporary bridge is taken off and the permanent bridge is fitted. Additional visits may be required to ensure the fit of the bridge is correct.

After Care Facts

• The dental bridge can last 10 years or more.

• Keeping good dental hygiene and care for the remaining surrounding teeth is important as the bridge is supported by adjacent teeth.

• After the bridge is put in place, it should correct your speech and your ability to chew. Try eating softer foods until the bridge becomes more comfortable.
